Not only did she say yes, but we're likely going to use the Gospel of the FSM as the official holy text for the ceremony.

The person running the show won't be dressed as a pirate, but he will be in a kilt, so that's got to be worth something.

Here's the level of :o we're talking about here. it was HER idea to use The God Delusion, but I've since converted her.

You really should have a pirate, but, I suppose you'll be fine.

Make sure you have rum and pasta at the reception, though. Otherwise, it's blasphemy.

Somehow.

Congrats! I agree with having a pirate... it wouldn't be a valid ceremony otherwise.

You should post some pics after the wedding.

Congratulations, narphlan!

From the FAQ:

# Q: So, I'd love to eat pasta, but I have some sort of medical condition/diet/personal preference that prevents me from doing so. What do I do?

A: His Noodly Majesty is, above all, tolerant. Be a good person, and you'll be fine, eating Pasta or not.

# Q: What if I don't have a set of pirate regalia? What if I don't drink beer? What if I think strippers are immoral?

A: Tolerance. You'll be okay.

# Q: Speaking of beer, what kind of beer is in the volcano? What if it's not my favorite? What are the strippers like? What if I'm a woman and want a man? What if I'm looking for a relationship, not just short-term fun? What if...

A: He is omniscient and omnipotent. You'll be well taken care of in Heaven, in a way that will suit your wants and needs exactly.

I'd assume that includes wedding ceremonies too. Pirates are preferred, not mandated. If he wants a kilt, I say let him have a kilt. Pirates are still recommended, o' course.

Arr! Congratulations, Narphlan! I wish ye luck, and fair winds on the rest of yer journeys!
I'll be wantin' to see weddin' pictures, if ye don't mind. Or, at least the beer volcano. Aye, that's what I want me weddin' to be like. Maybe even on a ship at sea.

Fair winds,

Will the birde and groom be wearing pirate regalia?
And may your union be blessed by His noodly appendage.
And then the FSM extended His noodly appendage, tasted the Holy Sauce of Life, and declared It good.

Congratulations, sir. I wish you well in all of your marriage-related noodling.
